ABOUT STS
The Self Tape Shop was created by actress and model, Divya Sethi.
At STS we professionally tape and edit your auditions, monologues and slates.
We care about you, the actor, and go above and beyond to help you succeed. It is our mission to create top quality work that gets you the job without burning a hole in your pocket. We're on your side and that's why our prices beat ALL of our competitors.
Our studio is conveniently located in Hell's Kitchen, near A/C/E, N/Q/R, 1/2/3 trains
& Port Authority Train Station.
How it works:
1) Send us an email at TheSelfTapeShop@Gmail.com requesting a day and time of your choosing. Please specify whether you would like to book a 30 min, 60 min, or 90 min session.
2) Arrive to your taping session fully memorized and ready to go. Oily face or flyaways ruining your take? Don't Worry! At STS we have hair and makeup products available to ensure you look and feel your best (or worst depending on character).
3) Decide whether you want to sit or stand, and your choice of back drop. At STS we use a Sony camera, professional studio lighting, lav mic, and provide the choice of a blue or grey back drop.
4) Let's start taping! We run through the scene as many times as needed. In between takes we bounce ideas off each other to create an honest performance. Additional coaching can be provided as needed. We keep shooting until you're happy.
5) We shoot your slate. Please let me know in advance if casting has requested any specific slate shot needs.
6) We sit down and pick your favorite take. Your job is now done and you're free to go!
7) I then edit your take and send it to you, your agent or casting via WeTransfer. Your tape will be sent within a few hours of your session. If you need a quicker turnaround please let me know and I will accommodate your needs.
8) You *hopefully* book the job! We encourage any success stories to please be sent our way.
